I Wonder by Rodriguez

This guy, Rodriguez, had been a construction worker for most of his life. He recorded two albums in the early 70's, but they were a complete flop, so he moved on. Meanwhile, in South Africa, someone had bootlegged a copy of the record, and it had gone viral. According to this fuckin awesome documentary about him, he was bigger than Elvis and The Rolling Stones. The entire country thought he was dead, until 1996 when some folks found him, and brought him back for a huge sold-out tour. Can't even begin to explain how crazy of a story this is. Definitely a shame that he wasn't appreciated in his own country.
